I ignorantly once inside presumed the castle was a stylised modern copy of a medieval castle given the fabulous condition of the render on the exterior walls but read that the Arundel Castle is in fact a restored and remodelled medieval castle in Arundel, West Sussex, England. It was established by Roger de Montgomery on Christmas Day 1067.
